In 2022, Kumyang successfully produced the 21700 battery, developed in-house through the dedication of our outstanding research team and professional battery industry engineers. The prestigious SGS certification, a testament to our leadership in battery technology, further validated this remarkable technology. Additionally, following the acquisition of international battery safety certifications, including United Nations Transport of Dangerous Goods tests and standards (UN 38.4) and U.S. lithium battery safety standards (UL 1642), Kumyang became the first in the country to successfully develop the 4695 cylindrical battery, known as the "dream secondary battery."
In June 2024, we achieved a significant milestone by successfully demonstrating an all-wheel drive vehicle powered by the 4695 battery, showcasing Kumyang's innovative technology. In line with our enterprising growth strategy, we are investing over 700 million dollars in constructing Dream Factory 2, a cylindrical battery plant in Gijang, Busan, with a production capacity of 300 million cells. The facility is scheduled for completion by the end of 2024, and mass production of the 21700 and 4695 batteries will begin in 2025.
